The Thumper Lithium portable battery pack is a reliable, compact and lightweight alternative to the standard lead acid dual battery system.

  Bluetooth App | Control Screen - Explained:

The Bluetooth app offers the ability to control the charge or discharge loads from the battery by remotely switching ON / OFF the power via the Bluetooth App.

To turn either your charge or discharge loads off, simply switch the blue toggle (blue = ON) to instead show a blacked out toggle.  

CHARGE SWITCH  - to remotely disconnect all charge loads from the battery. Turning this particular switch OFF will prevent the battery from taking a charge load from any charging source, including the DC battery charger.

DISCHARGE SWITCH  - to remotely disconnect all discharge loads from the battery. Turning this particular switch OFF will prevent the battery from running any appliance as it disconnects all loads from the battery. This is the perfect option to use when storing the battery.

 

This particular model Thumper Lithium 120 AH Battery Pack is not suitable for Jump-Starting

The Thumper Lithium 120 AH offers an impressive 100 AH of power; this particular portable lithium battery pack will allow the user to run the average 50Lt compressor type fridge for over 5 days! This is almost 60% better run time compared to its AGM counterpart!

Equipped with virtually every socket you would ever need, along with a precision digital gauge for monitoring, this pack is one of the best options for an off-grid portable battery system available on today's market!

Charging:

The Thumper 120 AH includes the complete vehicle wiring loom (TUR-L) - 8mm wiring. The wiring loom is designed to separate the Thumper from the main starter battery when the vehicle ignition is off. It is recommended to still install this loom with models that are fitted with the DC charger.

The TUR-L uses an ignition activated relay. The relay will act to provide power to the charging system when the vehicle is running, and in turn, will isolate away from the main starter battery once the vehicle's ignition has been switched OFF.

Included with all components you will need for the vehicle installation, this charging system is provided in 8mm twin core cable option (75 Amp rating)

Can you charge from a cigarette socket? 

It is not recommended to charge direct from a vehicle cigarette socket when charging lithium batteries as the Lithium chemistry does prefer a higher rate of charge than what the vehicle can produce on its own. It is therefore, recommended to use when possible a DC Battery charger. 

Thumper offer a model of the 120 AH battery pack with the in built 25 Amp DC Charger. This model will allow you to harness 25 Amps from the vehicle's alternator when driving via a hard wired 8mm charge line (included). 

Alternatively, Thumper offer two options for IN LINE DC Chargers, which will allow you to connect directly into the cigarette socket of the vehicle and then into the Thumper battery Pack. 

The In line DC Battery chargers are available in a 5 Amp model (LDC-5A) or 8 Amp model (LDC-8A). These chargers can be modified to use an Anderson connector to connect into your Thumper pack and straight into the vehicle's cigarette socket! 

Charging from a cigarette socket will ultimately result in a slower rate of charge, as the cigarette socket is rated at a lower amperage and are normally wired in a lighter gauge cable. This is the reason these chargers are only rated at 5 Amps or 8 Amps. 

Note: The 5 Amp charger will produce 5 Amps per every hour of drive time back into the Thumper unit / and will use approx 7 Amps of power from the vehicle's cigarette socket to produce this. [The 8 Amp will produce 8 Amps per hour of drive time and will draw approx 10 Amps from the cigarette socket to produce this 8 Amps]
