At Home of 12 Volt Northern, we want you to feel confident when shopping with us. Every order is securely processed through our protected online checkout, and all shipments are fully insured until they arrive safely at your door.

To provide fast, reliable, and affordable delivery options, we work with several trusted Australian freight carriers, including Australia Post, TNT Express, and Cochranes Transport. The courier used will depend on the size, weight, and destination of your order.

Shipping Timeframes & Dispatch Information

Orders typically require 1–3 business days for processing, packing, and issuing your tracking confirmation email.
Please remember to check both your inbox and spam/junk folder for this email.

Once you receive your tracking number, if your delivery appears delayed, we recommend contacting the courier directly, as they can provide the quickest and most detailed updates.

If you believe there is a major issue with your delivery or the courier cannot assist, please contact us directly for support.

Please Note: Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be dispatched on the next business day.

Delivery Tracking

After your order is collected by the courier, tracking updates may take up to 48 hours to appear.
Once scanned, you will be able to see each step of your parcel’s journey, including depot movements and the estimated delivery date.

Tracking is provided for all orders, regardless of the delivery method, for complete peace of mind.

Carrier Selection

  • Large and heavy items are typically shipped via TNT Express.
  • Smaller parcels are generally sent via Australia Post, unless otherwise required.

Shipping Rates

  • Standard Post: $12.00
  • Express Post: $22.00
  • Free Shipping: Orders up to $150.00 to capital cities
  • FREE Standard Express Shipping: Orders over $150.00 to all Australian capital cities

  • Free Freight to Capital Cities (Up to $30 Freight Value) For orders shipping to Australian capital cities, Home of 12 Volt Northern offers FREE delivery up to the first $30.00 of freight cost.

Regional & Country Area Charges

Country, remote, and regional locations often incur higher freight costs due to distance, limited courier services, and delivery network restrictions.

Because these freight costs vary significantly depending on your exact location, all regional and country orders will be individually quoted.

Once your order is placed:

  1. We will calculate the freight cost based on your delivery address.
  2. You will be notified of any additional charges if the shipping exceeds the $30 free-freight allowance for capital cities.
  3. No surcharge will be processed without your approval.
  4. You can choose to
    • proceed with the order and pay the surcharge (via bank transfer or EFTPOS over the phone), or
    • cancel the order if the freight cost is unsuitable.

We aim to provide the most accurate and fair freight pricing for customers in regional and country areas while ensuring transparency before any payment is taken.

Surcharge Information for Regional Areas

If your delivery address is outside a free-freight zone, only the difference between the free-freight allowance and the actual shipping cost will be charged as a surcharge.

Example:
If your region qualifies for $30.00 of free freight and the actual shipping cost is $45.00, your payable surcharge would be $15.00.
This surcharge can be paid via bank transfer or EFTPOS over the phone.
