❓ What Happens If the Discharge Rating Is Exceeded?
The Thumper lithium battery is protected internally by a Battery Management System. The BMS helps protect the battery against overcharge, low voltage, and excessive discharge drain.
For example, if a 3000W inverter draws approximately 250A, this twin pack package wired in parallel has a 200A BMS. If the load exceeds the 200A discharge rating, the BMS will disconnect and stop providing power to protect the battery.
Once the load is disconnected, the BMS will normally reconnect within a few seconds and the battery will be ready to use again.
