📻 ORICOM UHF182XPTA DUAL ANTENNA UHF CB RADIO + BONUS 3dBi & 6.5dBi ANTENNAS

Smart Dual Antenna UHF Package for Changing Terrain

📡 The Oricom UHF182XPTA combines the UHF182XP 5 Watt Dual Antenna UHF CB Radio with two bonus antennas – the ANU050 3dBi and ANU236 6.5dBi – giving you a versatile communication setup for everything from hilly tracks to flat open country.

📡 DUAL ANTENNA SYSTEM – BUILT FOR CHANGING TERRAIN

The UHF182XP features two antenna inputs, allowing two compatible 50-ohm antennas to be connected at the same time.

Its integrated DAS technology automatically selects the antenna receiving the stronger signal, helping the radio adapt as terrain and reception conditions change.

  • ⛰️ ANU050 3dBi: Compact 350mm flexible antenna suited to hilly, undulating and mixed terrain
  • 🛣️ ANU236 6.5dBi: 960mm antenna better suited to flatter open country and highway touring

⚠️ Antenna gain does not guarantee communication distance. Actual performance depends on terrain, mounting position, installation quality, obstacles and repeater availability.

🔧 BEFORE YOU BUY

  • At least one compatible antenna must be connected for operation
  • Both antenna inputs are specified at 50 Ohms
  • Designed for compatible nominal 12V systems within the stated 10–15V DC range
  • Do not connect directly to a nominal 24V electrical system
  • Confirm the 29 × 110 × 115mm transceiver fits your intended mounting location
  • Allow suitable clearance for both antennas if installing the full dual-antenna setup

❓ QUICK FAQ

Why are two different antennas included?

The 3dBi ANU050 is better suited to changing and undulating terrain, while the 6.5dBi ANU236 is generally better suited to flatter open country. The UHF182XP lets both antennas be connected to its dual inputs.

Does the radio automatically choose between the antennas?

Yes, for reception. The supplied information states that the Dual Antenna System automatically selects the strongest received signal.

Do I need to install both antennas?

No. The radio requires at least one antenna connected. Installing both allows the Dual Antenna System to take advantage of the two different antenna configurations for reception.

Can it run directly from a 24V vehicle?

No. The specified operating range is 10–15V DC, so a suitable 24V-to-12V conversion solution is required.
