Can I replace an AGM battery with this lithium battery?

Potentially, but the complete charging system must be lithium compatible. Check your DC-DC charger, solar regulator and 240V charger to ensure they support the required lithium charging profile before changing from AGM to LiFePO4.

What size DC-DC charger should I use?

The manufacturer recommends up to approximately 50A standard charging. A 40A charger provides relatively fast recovery, while 25A or 30A chargers can also be used but will take longer to recharge the battery.

What charging voltages does it require?

The supplied specifications state a charge voltage of 14.2–14.6V and absorption/float voltage of 13.4–13.6V.

Can it run an inverter?

Yes, the battery's 180A continuous discharge capability makes it suitable for compatible inverter installations. Maximum usable inverter size depends on the inverter's DC current demand, efficiency, surge requirements, cable sizing, fusing and complete system design.

What happens if the battery shuts down from being discharged too far?

A lithium-compatible charger with an appropriate battery-recovery or power-supply function may be required to wake the BMS. Follow the battery and charger manufacturer's recovery procedure rather than bypassing the BMS or applying uncontrolled charging current.
